The Herbal Horses

We offer sponsorship to horses who we consider to be special. Not necessarily horses at the top of their game. Not riders who are international superstars. Just riders like you and me. And horses with a particular personality, with something special about them, who are loved and enjoyed and who work with enthusiasm and energy. We call them the  ‘Herbal Horses’.

    Hi, i ended up saving a race horse that they were going to shoot as he had hurt his ligaments. He is only 4 years old and the most amazing lovely, grateful, naughty horse ever. I had to make a decision to commit myself emotionally and financially to the upkeep and care of this huge creature. After 3 months of rest his leg was looking good. I’d rush out after work to walk him around for weeks, then finally he was well enough to ride. Me not really knowing much about riding had a lot to learn. So imagine my heartbreak when he hurt his ligament in the stable again. So far he has been on stable rest for a month now. Its breaking my heart and i pray each day that he heals 100%. He deserves a chance in life (not as a race horse)
