Colic no more
I just wanted to let you know about the digestion mix that I tried on Foxy. Like you know, he cribs, but we don't know why. He is in all aspects a calm, relaxed horse, apart from the cribbing. Back to the digestion mix: I didn't notice a difference in the cribbing since he's been on the mix. HOWEVER, it picked up again within 3 days of him being off it, which to my mind is quite significant. He hasn't had one colic episode, not even a threat or anything, no tummy einas, nothing. Again, not sure if it is significant at all, but he is generally calmer since he has started it. I can't explain it, and it is subtle (he's generally a pretty relaxed horse, but one of those that worries to the inside), but he seems more at home in his own skin, if that makes any sense.
Moving yards
We moved our horses to a different yard about 2 weeks ago and I put Tammy on the Digestion mix after the move.She's on completely different grazing, different teff, different concentrates and she has had no digestive upsets and only very minimal weight loss (from running around like a loon in her new paddock!). She's already picking the weight back up which for her is a very positive thing! It smells absolutely lovely and she says it tastes good too.
For the pony we gave it to he was certainly much better. His runny tummy was very much improved. I will certainly use it again and will recommend it to others.Caroline
